Derek’s comments helped to clarify why I can’t let it go. My first book has become precious. Too precious to let go. Okay. Got it. That baby’s getting launched.
Great review with Joe, Alice and Derek. The big takeaway for me with Derek was hearing how he determined what to prioritize or focus on in his craft and what to let go of. I think this is true of any endeavor. In the beginning everything seems important but with experience comes discernment. I also really appreciated Joe’s perspective because the excitement of starting out has a passion that we often later lose sight of when we get caught up in the details and hard work of a craft. Your purpose and the inspiration that initially launched you on your journey can slip away. Recapturing that is vital as well.
And..what a fabulous introductory sentence to the podcast: “I’m here to be a catalyst for awe.” Whooo hoo! Let’s go!!
